BlackBerry Playbook

RIM has announced their first tablet computer, Blackberry Playbook. BlackBerry Naming Playbook beyond belief among many who had expected a tablet PC or RIM will be named Blackpad Surfbook or Surfboard. In fact the facts say another, Playbook is the name selected and announced by RIM CEO Mike Lazaridis yesterday at their annual developer event in San Francisco's Blackberry 2010.

Like most tablet computers, its slim and thin as a board - hence called also slate - with a weight of 400 grams and measures 7 inc like the ideal screen size Samsung Galaxy Tab.

The naming of this tablet rada Play for a little intriguing, because Play is sometimes said negative impression; Playgirl and Playboy. Surfbook actually name the most appropriate, because using the tablet just like reading the book (book) which is as characteristic of a tablet computer and Surf words indicate that with the owner of this tablet will surf the vast sea of internet communication as well. Moreover, the RIM to target the business as a buyer, so naming Play seem to be inappropriate.

But certainly the naming of Play on the tablet PC is not without reason. Info as far as I can, because this tablet "full support" to all Flash-based content. Likewise all flash games. IPad satirize all that does not support Flash, except by downloading jalbreak his first, and even then the result is not optimal.

Besides getting a warm welcome, Playbook also get a ripple in disappointment. Because not (yet) support Blackberry applications. This can be understandable, because the OS is in use rather than the Blackberry OS, but OS QNX and then change its name to the OS on Blackberry Tablet. So it takes time to make all applications to be compatible with BB this tablet.

Therefore Playbook will be officially released to the public early in 2011, to allow time for all the BB application developers to synchronize. At the same time giving RIM the opportunity to learn the tablet market and start exploring the possibilities of competition with Samsung with his Galaxy Tab, IPAD second generation and Android tablet computers in those days.
