RIM aims to launch 7 new BlackBerries this year

RIM is obviously not having the best of times recently, but it certainly hasn't lost its fighting spirit. The company plans to launch seven new BlackBerry smartphones before this year ends, which is ambitious, to say the least.
What's more, the new handsets will all be running on RIM's next-gen OS - whether that is BB OS 7 or the long rumored new OS based on QNX. That should basically be the smartphone-friendly version of the BlackBerry Tablet OS, which we really enjoyed, when we reviewed the BlackBerry PlayBook.

Of course, RIM admits that launching so many new devices in just five months will be quite challenging. The company's co-CEO Jim Balsillie has expressed his belief that they will indeed be able to release the seven new smartphones, which will enable them to meet the year's financial targets, despite the weak first two quarters.

We are quite eager to see what those products will be like. The company obviously had some pretty great ideas with the PlayBook, but that one just wasn't polished enough to become a best-seller.

10 Reasons to Stay Blackberry Will Exist

RIM is currently in a situation that is less wear. Many are predicting that mobile phones with fuel age will not be long anymore. Many have lashed out, many are also flattering.
Here are 10 reasons that the Blackberry phones will still exist:

1. Security

If RIM is more focused on the security, then people will still look for the Blackberry. Although the current iPhone, Android, and RIM's market erode WP7 start, but the Blackberry mobile security remains the primary selling points are not owned by competitors. possessed only one model of iPhone mobile phone. Apple continues to improve security on the iPhone and corporate support for the iPhone but still not achieve what is currently owned by RIM.

Since Microsoft is more focused on the corporate consumer market in WP7, the phone-based mobile operating system is found in the future will be more features that the consumer-centric corporate so that the series is still the territory of RIM. Android does not count in this section because the operating system that is open, then open is also a great opportunity to threaten the security of a system.

2. Brand

The name of the Blackberry is still one of the reasons people to buy this phone. Especially for those who are lovers of the QWERTY keyboard.

3. Physical buttons

True if this time is menggandrungi smartphone touch screen design. But Blackberry is born as a phone with physical keys and QWERTY keyboard will always remain so without being affected by the design of a full touchscreen. If there are people who are looking for a phone with QWERTY keypad, then the Blackberry is one of the best options.

4. QNX

This new platform looks promising when paired in the Playbook. The fact that RIM will use this platform on Blackberry phones will certainly increase the passion of consumers against the Blackberry mobile phone.

5. Occurrences Playbook

Many people scoff when they released Playbook RIM to compete with the iPad. While it is ultimately just a month iPad missed by the punguk, but Playbook be a sign that the emergence of new Blackberry OS is getting closer. The new OS also dikakakan will combine with the tablet OS smartphone OS so it will be increasingly integrated with one another. As Apple has done in the IOS and will be conducted by Google at the Ice Cream Sandwich and Microsoft on Windows 8.

6. The void in the market dominance of the lower middle

Forget the upscale market currently dominated by Apple and Android phone, the Blackberry would be better if the market targeting middle class down. It is already terlamapau market tightness, but no one becomes a very dominant here. Nokia has long dominated this part gradually been eroded and this can be an opportunity for RIM to come in and dominate the market with the Blackberry. iPhone is clearly not playing in this area, Windows 7 Phone is too expensive for the middle class, Symbian is not too competitive, then the RIM still has a chance in the middle market.

7. Operators still need a Blackberry

Software development company is one of major unrest operators because each OS is presented will have an easy and inexpensive way to communicate without using SMS or telephone. This certainly can reduce the revenue the operator of such basic services. Google's Android is said to be the operator of the world's biggest worry because Google will further siphon data communications carriers, thereby reducing the use of SMS and phone. Basically, the operator enjoys a few options and they do not really want Android to dominate the market and they will balance with the Blackberry Android. Dikatakakan Curve Series a favorite choice for affordable so that operators can compete with Android phones.

8. Dependence on fuel

This is RIM's secret weapon pemungkas. Fuel has long been the biggest reason people choose Blackberry phones. Fuel is a chat service that can only be used kesesama Blackberry users. With the level of security and data ekripsi, fuel proved successful as a chat platform that is safe and reliable. In fact it is this which makes RIM have to deal with some countries because the country's government can not fuel the population to access services. But RIM should start worrying about Apple's new attacks on the IOS iMessage 5 with a little more in common with oil platforms.

9. There is still time for RIM to clean up

Nokia in this section is a good example of where the company is now led by Stephen Elop was waiting too long to clean up at the high end level so that they lagged behind its competitors d today. RIM's current situation is still better than Nokia. They still have a bit of time to be put to good use for quick clean up before it becomes too late. Cozza from Gartner said that RIM QNX can be a lifesaver in the future, but they must be quick.

10. RIM has survived and continues to rise for decades

RIM was founded in 1984. Means RIM has been for 27 years to live, survive, and continued to increase up to become popular as it is today. Although the state of RIM in the year 2011 is not too good, but many people believe RIM will be able to survive. Still according to Cozza from Gartner, if RIM is able to act quickly and make decisions appropriately, so RIM would still be the player's fourth-largest smartphone 2015.

CelleBrite System now includes BlackBerry Bold 9930 and BlackBerry Torch 9850

A screenshot shows that two eagerly awaited devices from RIM are now included in the CelleBrite System. The BlackBerry Bold 9930 and the BlackBerry Torch 9850 (aka the Torch 2) are seen on the CelleBrite machine's display. The system is used by carriers to extract information and data from one handset and add it to another. It is the device used by carriers to move things like your contacts from one model to another and while it is not a definitive signal, new devices often are seen on the CelleBrite machine just prior to being launched.

The BlackBerry Bold 9930 is the CDMA version of the device that RIM is counting on to give the company a lift. With a form factor similar to the design of the BlackBerry Bold 9000, including the latter's oft praised QWERTY keyboard, the BlackBerry Bold 9930 Mobile Phone adds a 2.8 inch touchscreen (that has looked quite responsive in early videos), the new BlackBerry 7 OS, and a browser that renders pages 40% faster than the WebKit browser on the BlackBerry Torch 9800.

The BlackBerry Bold 9930 and the BlackBerry Torch 9850 are both now on the CelleBrite System
Speaking of the BlackBerry Torch, the CDMA version of the sequel to that model, the BlackBerry Torch 9850 (aka the Torch 2) takes the same form factor of the original unit and pumps up the specs as we have reported. Considering that RIM has really improved upon the areas of the first-gen Torch 9800 that users complained about (the low-res screen, the slow processor), those who liked the design will probably upgrade to the sequel.

With RIM's reported earnings coming in below expectations, a stock price that has been making new lows, an exodus from the executive boardroom, employee layoffs, and delays in getting out key products, it would be a big morale booster for RIM if it could get these two models out the door soon. Having both listed in the CelleBrite System might be the first sign that this is going to happen.

IOS and Android Apple may just become an idol in the global smartphone market. But for companies in the United States (U.S.), the popularity of the BlackBerry platform have not been able to beat Apple and Google it.

The latest report from the Wireless Enterprise Strategies (WES) mentions that the phone belongs to Research In Motion is still the main choice of approximately 72 percent of U.S. companies. Even so, RIM actually has not been able to breathe freely. The reason, Apple and Android are now beginning to pursue the popularity of the BlackBerry in the land of Uncle Sam.

Meanwhile, the WES report also reveals a new trend in which 11 percent of the company frees the operating systems used on mobile phones of their employees (Bring Your Own Device / BYOD).
